Mavisbank – saved at last?

The quite stunningly attractive Mavisbank House was built to designs by William Adam and Sir John Clerk for Sir John in 1723-36 and represents one of the finest private houses and designed landscapes in Scotland.

Tragically gutted by fire in 1973 and threatened with demolition, Mavisbank was saved by the Lothian Building Preservation Trust. Now exciting plans for its restoration have been developed. We have been working to advise on the commercial viability of the proposals and – very tentatively – it's possible to suggest that a phoenix may finally emerge from the destructive flames of twenty-eight years ago.

Dewar's Heritage Room

Whilst building the fastest and most modern spirits bottling line in Europe at their Glasgow HQ, John Dewar & Sons set aside space to honour their heritage.

We fitted out the Dewar Heritage Room to remind staff and visitors of the entrepreneurial spirit of the company's founders and the many achievements of the past 150 years.

It means the present day team never forget that they have quite some legacy to live up to!
